Statement of intent-Vita Coco print

 

Introduction:

 

·         My plan is going to be making a print advert based on coconut water that will encourage kids to drink it. The brand that I am going to use is Vita Coco. The reason why is because it is the most popular drink that is recommended to refresh your body and mind and the tastiest. My slogan would be “Refreshment From Nature’s Heart”, This refers it to being healthy and clean drink instead of those fuel unhealthy packed energy drinks

 

Media Language:

 

·         My plan will be guaranteed to meet the brief because this advert is especially aimed at young teenagers and adults that are looking to get fit and have a nice drink possibly in the hot blazing sun, refreshing your whole body. This will make them think that this drink will reach their future aspirations and dreams for example getting fit or losing face fat or achieving a 6 pack. With my 6 images in each of my three adverts, I will use three that will mainly focus on the bottle/product and my other three will focus on the person holding the bottle, for that my friend Anarshan will help me with that. He has helped me used different body language and different face expressions to make the advert used eye catching. The aspects of the mise-en-scene such as the outwear and the props which is school uniform and the bottle. The school uniform connotates that when drinking the coconut water, it will help you stay awake in school as normally you would be tired. Teenagers would see this as a healthier energy drink instead of monster or boost that will damage your insulin and immune system. Finally, the props such as the bottle will connotate that with that small bottle, it can be packed with so much vitamins and minerals. This will make the younger audience eagerly buy the drink because it emphasises that a small bottle of coconut water filled to the brim would make it sound it’s worth to buy.

 

Media Representations:

 

·         This will create a representation for young people for boys between 15-25 no matter the race because studies have shown that boys who are the ages between the ages of 15 to higher shows that at this age they will like the taste more than girls. This will also represent a healthy and successful life because Vita CoCo will show that if you drink this, it will make you more confident and superior to you own self and beliefs. These 3 adverts will reinforce stereotypes e.g race because it calls to show that anybody can be in an advert regardless the age of race. 

 

Media Audience:

 

·         These adverts will target my specific audience with younger teenagers because with my three adverts, it will look bold and outstanding that almost everyone will be interested. The images will be bigger than the text as it won’t appeal to the younger audience and make it look dull and boring.
